different mediums, same question:

how can this feel more intentional?

about me

I grew up making things with my hands.

Drawing, sculpting, sewing, building. It was never just a hobby, it was how I made sense of the world. That eventually led me to a BA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, where I learned to think through space, material, detail, and intention.

After that, my path moved through graphic production, where I spent about six years working across pre-press, large-format printing, and production management. It taught me precision, systems thinking, and the pressure of making sure an idea survives all the way to the final outcome.

Then came tattooing.

I built a client base from zero, opened my own private studio, and spent two years doing work that was both technical and deeply personal. Every session was a design problem: listening carefully, translating something emotional into something visual, and making decisions that would stay on someone’s skin.

UX/UI design became the place where all of this finally made sense together.

The visual thinking from Sculpture. The precision and systems from production. The listening, trust, and responsibility from tattooing. Today, after completing an intensive UX/UI program at EDIT. - Disruptive Digital Education, I’m focused on designing digital experiences where clarity, structure, and aesthetics work together with intention.

outside of work

Outside of work, I’m usually at a museum, hiking with my very energetic cocker spaniel, or skating around on my inline skates.

I travel whenever I can, mostly for the culture, the architecture, and the feeling of discovering a place through its streets, food, and details.

I also have a soft spot for good wine, good food, and long conversations. And at some point, when life feels a little less expensive, I’d love to return to Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
